July 9: From the Pastor's Desk...

My Dear Parishioners,

I do hope that all of you enjoyed the 4th of July weekend and the beautiful weather that accompanied it. I think that after the harsh winter and the wet and cool spring we deserved a beautiful weekend. I had some of my Norbertine confreres here for a cookout and it was most enjoyable. I do ask that you continue to hold in prayer Father Conrad Kratz as he begins the journey of rebuilding his life after a serious stroke which occurred on Monday, June 27th. I worked with Father Conrad when he was pastor at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in DePere, and we are good friends and confreres.

A few words of thank you and appreciation to three parishioners who have completed their terms of service on our Parish Finance Council: Barb Bell, Chris Cumicek, and Todd Nennig. I have appointed the following to the Finance Committee: Joe Thibaudeau and Tom Camilli for one year terms and John Kelly and Sara Schiller to three-year terms. With our school transitioning to the GRACE System, this will be a very important year for us as a parish, and members of the Finance Council will have a lot of work to do in our adjusting to this new system of operating our school. I appreciate everyone who is willing to serve on parish committees.

Congratulations to Mike Reignier who this past week was elected by the parish to the position of Pastoral/Spiritual Trustee. Mike served in this position a number of years ago and so he brings to the position previous experience. Mike, along with his wife Tina, has also co-chaired our annual parish picnic for a number of years. Thank you, Mike, for being willing to serve your parish as a Trustee. Mike assumes the position which was held by John Majeski, and I thank John for his past 3 years of service. John has agreed to be a candidate for one of the positions open on the Pastoral Council. This weekend we will select new members for our Pastoral Council. In addition to John, Dan Clark and Phil Hilgenberg are candidates. A word of thank you and appreciation to Mary Ullmer and Mary Cook who have completed their terms of service on the Pastoral Council.

Oremus pro invicem,
Fr. Tom
