Next weekend on Saturday, May 14, at the 4 pm Mass, and Sunday, May 15, at the 10 am Mass we will be welcoming 41 of our children to the table of the Lord as they celebrate their First Holy Communion. Because it is important that we are there to welcome them as their parish family, we will be celebrating our First Communions within the context of our regular weekend liturgies, rather than at a specially scheduled Mass. We realize that this presents a “crowd” problem, both in church and in the parking lot, so we simply ask for patience and consideration from all those involved in the celebrations.
Please pray for our First Communion candidates and their families as they spend this final week of interior preparation to receive the Body and Blood of Jesus for the first time.
About Holy Cross Faith Formation
All children in the Holy Cross Parish Family have the right and opportunity to be educated in their faith. Children and young adults often have questions about God. The Holy Cross Parish Faith Formation program works with parents to answer these questions and to bring our young people into a closer relationship with God; a relationship which motivates them to make good moral decisions in order to live Christ-like lives.
