Diocese of Green Bay to hold Memorial Day weekend Masses at two cemeteries

GREEN BAY, Wis. (May 23, 2011) -- The Diocese of Green Bay will have Memorial Day weekend Masses at two cemeteries to combine the memory, the generosity and the commitment of the faithful and patriotic as they celebrate the national holiday.

Mass in Manitowoc
Bishop David Ricken will lead a special Mass at Calvary Mausoleum and Cemetery in Manitowoc on Saturday, May 28 at 10 a.m. in honor of Memorial Day.

The local Knights of Columbus Mass will serve as honor guards. This is the second year Calvary Mausoleum and Cemetery has had a Memorial Day Mass. For more information on the Memorial Day Mass at Calvary Mausoleum and Cemetery, contact Dan Schweigl at (920) 684-3646.

Mass in Green Bay
Allouez Catholic Cemetery invites people to join them in honoring the courageous souls who have served and sacrificed to protect the nation's interests and its people.

The Mass at Allouez Catholic Cemetery will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 30. Bishop David Ricken will be the celebrant. Mass will include music from the St. Francis Xavier Cathedral choir.
