John Michael Kennedy, 20, Green Bay, died on January 25, 2011. Born on December 2, 1990, in Madison, he is the son of Jeff and Colleen (McCarthy) Kennedy. John is a 2009 graduate of Green Bay Preble High School. He was currently enrolled at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, where he was studying to become an occupational therapist. John enjoyed playing guitar, times spent with friends, and doing tricks in his wheelchair. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, and being wise beyond his age.
John is survived by his parents, Jeff and Colleen Kennedy; three siblings, Blake, Alyssa, and J.R. Kennedy, Green Bay; numerous aunts and uncles; paternal grandparents, John and Marilynn Kennedy, Parrish, FL; maternal grandmother, Janice McCarthy, Green Bay; and fiancée, Manda Alcorta, Green Bay.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John McCarthy.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird St., Sunday (January 30, 2011) from 4 – 8 p.m. Parish wake service 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Monday (January 31, 2011) at Holy Cross Church, 3009 Bay Settlement Road, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral. Funeral Mass 6:00 p.m. Monday at Holy Cross Church with Rev. Tom Hagendorf, O. Praem officiating.
John, we will miss hugging and kissing you, but we will see you in our dreams until we meet again.
