May Perpetual Light Shine Upon Her

Rose Mary Dart (Mrs. Arnold), 79, Bay Settlement, passed away Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011, peacefully at Woodside Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family and devoted nursing staff. She was born Feb. 4, 1931, in Rio Creek, to the late Joseph Sr. and Kathryn (Koss) Strnad. She married Arnold L. Dart Feb. 24, 1954, at Holy Trinity Church, Casco. Rose Mary was a nursing assistant for 29 years and she raised nine children. Her enjoyments included gardening and needlepoint. She also loved to dance and listen to polka music as well as spending time with her family.

Rose Mary is survived by her husband of 56 years Arnold; her children, Mark (Jane) Dart, Darboy; Doreen (Roger) Schuh, Denmark; Russell (Judy) Dart, Mike Dart, Roger Dart, Jim Dart, all of Green Bay; Ken (Cheryl) Dart, New Franken; Carol Dart, Green Bay; 15 grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Helen (Ralph) Ropson, Algoma; Joe (Carol) Strnad, Casco; brother-in-law, Bill Pickett, Wausaukee; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Ann Dart; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann (Pieschek) Dart; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary (Richard) Gabriel, Dorothy (Donald) Defnet, Katie Pickett.

Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011. Closing prayer service 4 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Tom Hagendorf. Visitation will continue between 9:45 and 10:45 a.m. Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at Holy Cross Church, Bay Settlement. Funeral 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Tom Hagendorf officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.

A special note of thanks is extended to Woodside Nursing Home who took extra time to ensure Rose Mary's comfort.
