Final Sisters' Bazaar promises to be huge

The sixth and final Sisters' Bazaar will be from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Holy Cross School, 3002 Bay Settlement Road, Green Bay. Take Highway 57 north to the Bay Settlement Road exit.

Selling quickly each year are the dozens of canned jams and vegetables, handmade bakery and treats -- including cream puffs and kolaches -- as well as hundreds of arts and crafts ranging from custom-made children's rocking chairs, doll clothes and bassinets, quilts, pillows, and the famous "Potato Bag."

Created years ago, the potato bags made by Sister Paulette sell out quickly. This popular item perfectly microwaves potatoes and corn on the cob. Its popularity is evident in the waiting list that is generated the day of the bazaar and the out-of-state orders Sister Paulette receives.

People of all ages are invited to enter the drawing for chance items. Tickets are one for $2 or three for $5. You'll find the complete list here along with information on how to enter even if you can't attend. You need not be present to win.

Come for breakfast, stay for lunch. All proceeds support the Sisters as they pay down the mortgage of their new convent. You do not need to be present to win.

Founded in 1881, the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross have served the people of Northeastern Wisconsin as educators, health care leaders and advocates for the least among us.
