Justin Cain is the cousin of Holy Cross parishioner Nikki (Cain) Goral, husband Paul, sons Evan & Wyatt.
Marine Corporal Justin J. Cain, 22, Manitowoc, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, in Southern Afghanistan while serving his country.
Justin was born on Sept. 5, 1988, in Manitowoc, son of Jim Cain and Judy (Luckow) Stock. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 2007. He attended LTC in the dairy herd management program. He enlisted in the U.S. Marines on June 19, 2007. Justin was a member of Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church. Justin was deployed to Afghanistan in September. He loved football, baseball, hunting, Boy Scouts and mud running.
Survivors include his father: Jim Cain, Sheboygan Falls; his mother and stepfather: Judy (Tim) Stock, Manitowoc; two sisters: Jolene Cain, Phoenix, AZ; Jeanne Cain, Manitowoc; paternal grandparents: John and Ethel Cain Sr., Maribel; maternal grandparents; Wayne and La Verne Luckow, Manitowoc; aunts and uncles: Candis Cain, Green Bay; Kathleen Cain, Glencoe, OK; John and Jane Cain Jr., Green Bay; Jeff Cain, Green Bay; Jerry and Julie Cain, Mishicot; Melody Cain, Maribel; Joel and Deb Cain, Green Bay; Jed and Sheri Cain, Waupaca; Shawn Furrh, Stillwater, OK; Jesse and Jenny Cain, Maribel; Craig and Colleen Cornell, Seymour; Kay Grady, Manitowoc; Deb and Chuck Schuh, Valders; Jim and Shelly Luckow, Manitowoc; Jon and Diane Luckow; Manitowoc; nephew: Dominic Hernandez. Other relatives, friends and survivors of the Marine Unit 3/5 also survive. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Jason Cain; Nick Jost.
The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory of Manitowoc assisted the Cain family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Corporal Justin J. Cain Fund.
