HCCS 4th Graders Visit Packer Hall of Fame and Heritage Hill
Submitted by Fourth Grade Teacher, Mrs. Shara Malone
The fourth graders at Holy Cross joined second graders on an all-day field trip to Lambeau Field and Heritage Hill!
God blessed us with a beautiful day as we toured the Stadium and explored the Packer Hall of Fame. During the Stadium tour our terrific tour guide, Don, revealed Packer history as we explored the Atrium, a private club suite, and Lambeau Field. A highlight of the day was when everyone had an opportunity to walk in the very footsteps of our beloved Packers through the tunnel onto Lambeau Field! As we walked up the tunnel to the entrance the sound of cheering fans could be heard, distantly at first, and then erupted as the doors opened before us and we were greeted with a sunlit Lambeau field! It was truly a once in a lifetime experience!
The fourth graders spent the afternoon at Heritage Hill taking part in the “Encounter Fort Howard” program where we learned all about life at Fort Howard in 1836. Students attended a pioneer schoolhouse on the fort, marched as soldiers at attention, and visited the original hospital that once stood at Fort Howard. A truly wonderful end to an amazing day!
