January 16/17 From the Pastor's Desk...

My Dear Parishioners,

After the 10 a.m. Mass this Sunday, we will be taking down and storing away all the church Christmas decorations. If you can volunteer some of your time and energy in helping complete this task, it would be greatly appreciated. We as a parish family are very fortunate that we have the talent and services of Jeff and Jan Walton, who always do an excellent job of preparing our church for the special holidays. Thanks again to Jeff and Jan and their committee.

I had a most enjoyable and spiritually renewing time during the week that I spent with my Norbertine Community at Saint Norbert Abbey. The Abbey is a peaceful and conducive place for spiritual reading, thought and meditation, and our Norbertine Center for Spirituality offers many programs and exercises that are specifically geared to the lay person. In the front entrance
of our church you can find booklets which describe the many and varied programs that the center offers - you just may find one that appeals to you.

Please mark you calendars for the Friday, January 22nd, “Right to Life Mass” at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish. The celebrant will be Bishop Ricken and the priests of the Diocese. This is the anniversary of the Roe versus Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in our country. The Bishop invites us to gather and to pray for an end to abortion and for the power of the Holy Spirit to open hearts and minds to live out the Gospel of Life.

Oremus pro invicem,
Fr. Tom
