Submitted by Mrs. Mary Lardinois, HCCS Spanish teacher
Spanish classes in K-5 at Holy Cross Catholic School have been singing "Noche de Paz" (Silent Night). Practice with the days of the week and the months of the year has proven beneficial with our classes. The Christmas customs in Mexico will be our topic for the remainder of our classes this month.
Our sixth and seventh graders have been telling time in Spanish and presently are becoming familiar with classroom objects as part of their textbook vocabulary.
Eight graders have recently completed a lesson on weather and the four seasons. We will soon begin our chapter on asking directions in the city. This will be very useful should they be doing any traveling in their future.
