The Board of Trustees meets next at Annunciation at 6:30 pm on August 11, 2009. Those wishing to attend and/or speak are requested to contact Carol or Barb. Monthly open BOT meetings have a 20-minute open forum for public input early in the meeting.

The Board of Trustees intends to identify a 2011-12 tuition plan by January 2010. The Finance/Facilities Committee is taking the lead on the research and parental responses to arrive at a recommendation. Please email responses to Carol. Choices include the following:
- A uniform tuition for all of the schools set across the system based on an overall tuition yield target (e.g. 50%);
- a modified standard tuition recognizing variables at different schools (base
plus variable offerings that have supplemental tuition);
- a site-based tuition based on operating costs and levels of parent-supported community fundraising;
- or a base tuition set to capture a lower tuition yield (e.g. 35%) augmented by alternative funding through identified voluntary parent contributions based on per pupil costs, increased community-source fundraising target, making parent voluntary contributions a significant portion through “fair share concept” (e.g. 15%).

After one year of working to establish the Catholic school system under a 5-year timeline, the Board of Trustees and administration would appreciate assistance with decisions about technology infrastructure for the system, uniting marketing campaigns more effectively for the dioceses/system/schools, addressing the variations in the handling of SCRIP, addressing policies related to sacrificial giving and volunteerism, addressing fundraising and development, and bringing student and employee handbooks together across the system schools.
