May 9/10 From the Pastor's Desk...

My Dear Parishioners,

This weekend we celebrate our National Holiday – MOTHER’S DAY. Take the time to Thank God for the wonderful way He reveals his presence through our moms. Thank God for those moms that we will be with us on Mother’s Day, 2009. Also join with me in thanking God for those mothers who have gone before us and who continue to help us from their special place in heaven. Let us also remember in prayer those mothers who have lost a child through stillbirth, crib death, accidents, war, and all other types of tragedies. Let us also pray for those women who would love to be mothers but are having a difficult time conceiving a child. Pray also for birth mothers who have loved their children so very much that they have shared the gift of their child with those who could better care for them and their needs. Pray also for adoptive mothers, that they may always know their special role of being a true mother, a revelation of God’s love for their children. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

After the long winter with its extreme cold weather and abundance of snow, it is a very special blessing to watch the grass get green again, the trees bud, and the Spring flowers bloom. Take time to thank God for the beauty of His creation and our privilege to be the custodians and co-creators with Him. Did you ever think that, in planting flowers and vegetables and other things, you are working with God to continue His creation here on earth? Enjoy and celebrate this wonderful season of the year.

Oremus pro invicem,
Fr Tom
